Photographing kids is hard…but photographing 3 year old twins is another task all together. I didn’t grow up with a twin but I grew up with a brother and sister that were close to my age and we always fed off each other’s shenanigans. It was hard to get a photo of us all looking at the camera and not making a funny face. When you get Charlotte and Audrey together they are always laughing and cutting up. They were a joy to photograph even if I didn’t get very many that were usable. A lot of my photos are of either of the twins looking at the camera and then the other looking away. Sometimes you’d even have one squeezing the other in what only can be described as the biggest tightest hug I’ve ever seen while the other looks angrily at her sister. I only got to photograph the twins this once but got to be around them and enjoy their childish wonder and fun over the couple of months that I interned with their mother, the owner of Lotus Blossom Photography.
