It’s ANNIVERSARY TIME!! I can’t believe Jenny and Cory have been married for a year already! Their June wedding was perfect…a little hot but a perfectly gorgeous sunny day for a wedding. As I planned their anniversary blog I asked them a few questions about their first year of marriage and I’d like to tell you guys their answers.
The first thing I asked was what is the best thing about being married.
Jenny said that it was getting to go to bed and wake up beside the one she loves every day. Cory said that the best thing to him was that Jenny doesn’t have to drive home every night.
What has been the greatest struggle?
For Jenny it has been finding the time in their busy schedules to just be together and for Cory it is getting Jenny to do the laundry and decide on food. (Laundry is definitely hard Jenny so I understand the struggle)
Finally I asked them if you could give newly engaged and newly married couples one piece of advice what would it be?
Both Jenny and Cory were unanimous on this answer. They both said to enjoy the little things, never go to bed mad and always kiss your spouse goodnight. (Great advice guys!)
My advice to all the newly engaged or newly married couples would be to slow down and soak it all in. The wedding day will fly by and so will your years of marriage so never forget to really enjoy and be with the ones you love. Take time to make dinner, watch a movie or just spend a few minutes with each other each day. Before you leave the house in the morning take a moment to wrap your significant other in your arms, look deeply into their eyes and tell them how much you love them because in this crazy world we live in you never know when your last moment is.
Jenny and Cory, I want to wish the two of you a very happy anniversary. I hope you take some time to enjoy each other’s love and reflect on your first year of marriage. You’ve made it through the hardest part of being married, sit back and set sail on many years of wedded bliss. I wish you nothing but the best and can’t wait to see what more years of marriage bring the two of you!
