Top 3 engagement session locations in Louisville, KY

Today we are headed to Louisville! We are coming up on engagement season which is such a fun time for all of my newly engaged couples! Typically once the question is popped, one of the first things people love to do is get engagement photos taken. And for good reason! Engagement photos are great to use on Save the Dates and of course to update your profile pic. Plus it’s an amazing way for us to get to know each other better before your wedding day! 

Recently I wrote a blog post on the top 3 engagement photo locations near Nashville, TN. I thought it’d be great to highlight another area that I love and give you my top 3 engagement photo locations in Louisville, KY! Usually couples ask for advice on what to wear and where to take their photos, so I want to be able to help and give you the best options possible. So if you’re from Louisville or want to travel there for your photos, I have some amazing suggestions for you! 

1. St James Court and Central Park

This location is a dream for my romantic couples who love a classic feel! If you love history and the feel of “old Kentucky” then this is the spot for you. There is a gorgeous fountain that would be a unique backdrop to your engagement photos as well as plenty of historic homes and alleyways. The park also features amazing and lush greenery so you can have a bit of everything here.

2. The Parklands  

Next up is The Parklands of Floyds Fork. If you’re thinking of some dreamy and classic outdoor Pinterest engagement photos (a lot of buzzwords, I know I know, but it’s true), this one’s for you. There is tall grass, huge fields, and beautiful flowers, making this a top spot on my list! Not to mention this is THE spot for an amazing sunset session! 

3. Waterfront Park

Okay, maybe you wouldn’t call yourself a classical loving couple. How about a modern city couple? Waterfront Park could be the spot for you! It’s a combination of the downtown vibes and the outdoors. You have all of the modern architecture of downtown but also the amazing river and tons of greenery! Honestly the river and bridge alone are worth this location making my top 3 list!
