How in the world has it already been a year since this sweet day!! Each and every time I photograph a fall wedding I fall more and more in love with them. The colors are so rich and vibrant and the weather is perfect. Rebecca and John Thomas had the most amazing weather on their big day. It was sunny and breezy and perfect for two to become one. One of my favorite parts of their big day was their first touch. Rebecca and John Thomas didn’t want to see each other before their ceremony so instead they chose a first touch. This allowed them time to themselves to just talk and soak in that they were about to be married. It was so sweet watching them talk and tell each other how much they loved one another. John Thomas cried as Rebecca came down the aisle and their I do’s in that little church in Cadiz, KY were just beautiful!!

I asked Rebecca to reflect on their big day and she said, “my wedding day was a blur but time seemed to stand still when I was standing in front of the love of my life vowing to love unconditionally and to spend the rest of my life with him. It’s a an unexplainable feeling that I will remember for the rest of my life.”

When asked about their greatest struggle, Rebecca said it has been her job. Over the last year she’s had some career changes and it has stressed them as a couple. Her word of advice is to find someone who doesn’t stress easily. John Thomas is her rock and has been such a huge blessing to her during this time. On the flip side of that, they’ve found someone who is always down for anything. Whether that is late night ice cream runs or hanging out on the couch, these two just enjoy spending time with one another.

When asked to provide advice for all the soonly weds, they had this to say, “Communication is key to your first year of marriage. Talk about things that upset you, that make you mad, and things that make you happy and excite you. Trust me, your partner will appreciate it. Be open and honest. Marriage is hard work. It has its up and downs. But a word of advice, it’s so worth it. I’m so happy to have found my forever!”

These two couldn’t be anymore perfect together. I saw it the moment I met them together and saw how they were around one another. They are each other’s rock and home. Being with your forever is the greatest blessing and I’m so glad these two have found one another. Take a moment to congratulate this amazing couple in the comments below and check out a little of their big day.

Congratulations on your first year of marriage Mr. and Mrs. Vowell! Cherish each and every moment together.

Your future family heirlooms await.
