I am so excited to share these photos with you! Traci and Rodney’s love story is one of my favorites! Talk about fate and destiny you guys! I asked Traci to chat a little about their engagement story and their love story. But you don’t want to hear it in my words so here is the Mitchell love story in Traci’s own words. I can’t wait for their wedding next month!
The actual “popping of the question” wasn’t anything spectacular (I was washing dishes at the time), but our love story is beyond amazing. Rodney and I first met in high school. I would see him walk down the hall and thought he had the cutest dimples I had ever seen. We eventually talked and he took me riding on his motorcycle. Although we seemed to have an immediate connection, I knew at that time (it was the 80’s) my family would never accept our relationship. So, we went our separate ways.
Over the next 30 years we occasionally would ask mutual friends about each other and even exchanged a brief message or two. We both had thought of each other many times and wondered “what if”. Finally, all the stars aligned and we were connected once again. It was an instant connection. My family fell in love with Rodney and accepted our relationship without hesitation. After two years of dating Rodney asked me to be his wife. We (I mostly) considered eloping, but Rodney said our love story was far to great for us not to share with our closest family and friends.
So, here we are. In one month I be able to say I am married to my best friend, my soul mate, the best man I know, and the man of dreams. I am beyond excited!
