In today’s post we are going to break down what you need to pack in a wedding day emergency kit! Whether you are a wedding coordinator, a photographer, a Maid of Honor, or the bride, this is a helpful checklist that will ensure you avoid any bumps in the road

1. Items for the morning

First up are the items that I tend to see people need while they are getting ready or throughout the day! They are all items that will help keep the couple looking and feeling their best.

  • Bobby pins
  • Hair ties
  • Stain remover
  • White chalk (covers stains that the stain pen might not remove)
  • Sewing kit with various colors of thread (can’t tell you how many times I’ve used this)
  • Lint roller
  • Tylenol
  • Tums or Alkaseltzer (for the bridesmaid or groomsman who went too hard last night)
  • Command hook (so you can hang the dress anywhere)
  • Blotting wipes
  • Deodorant
  • Clear nail polish
  • Tweezers
  • Boob tape
  • Crochet hook (for quickly doing buttons on dresses)
  • Nail glue
  • Eyelash glue
  • Translucent powder
  • Disposable makeup sponges
  • Hem tape
  • Scissors
  • Eye drops

2. Items for the logistics

Then you are going to want to think about the items that you may need for all the logistical parts of the day. You may be surprised to know how many people need a pen when it comes time to sign the marriage license!

  • Pen
  • Phone charger
  • Wall plug in
  • Portable charging battery for when you can’t find a plug
  • Marriage license
  • Wedding day timeline
  • Pretty wedding dress hanger

3. Items just for you

Finally, think about any items you or your couple might need that are specific to them! Think about the ceremony and reception location, or things that they may need that not every couple does.

  • Change of clothes for reception
  • Plane tickets for honeymoon
  • Flip flops for dancing
  • Medication
  • Snacks. Lots of snacks!
  • Water and some kind of electrolyte drink

Going into the wedding day, know that things can happen but you will be able to take care of it with this emergency kit list! Even if a stain happens or a timeline gets pushed back a bit, at the end of the day you (or your couple) is getting married and that’s all that matters!
