Today I wanted to walk you through what it’s like to work with me! So often we talk about finding the right photographer for you but after you’ve booked…then what? Many times there is a year or longer in between when you book with me or your engagement session and when you actually get married! So what happens in that time?
I wanted to make sure that any couples who book me as their wedding photographer would be able to know exactly what to expect from working with me, which is why I decided to create this blog post!
Let’s start at the beginning of our work.
First, you’ll inquire with me. We’ll go over any questions you have, and then you book with me and officially become a Liz Courtney bride. YAY! I’ll send you an online portal where I make it nice and easy for you to track everything online; from your invoices to questionnaires I send. We’ll start to get to know each other so that I can tell your love story in the most genuine way possible. Getting to know each other is a huge park of getting to work together!
From there we will get into the fun things!
We’re going to schedule your engagement session and afterwards I’ll share some sneak peeks with you. We will do the walk through of your venue and find out the best locations for photos! On the detailed side of things, we’ll also create a list of the family formal photos you’d like to have and finalized your wedding timeline. Very much like my personality, I like to keep things fun and relaxed with my couples but I’m also organized. That’s what your time with me is going to be like! My ultimate goal is to help make your day run smoothly, allow you two to have fun, and to capture photos that will become family heirlooms.
After your wedding, we will meet up for a viewing of your gallery and will have an ordering session where you can choose the photos that you’ll ultimately print and have forever! I design heirloom albums for my couples and we’ll walk through designing one for you as well.
These are some of the things we’ll be doing between when you book and after the honeymoon. You’ll also be hearing from me if I have any questions about your day and the lines of communication are open both ways! I am always here for you guys, whether you have questions about what to wear during your engagement session or if you’re trying to decide if a first look is right for you.
