Hey, I’m Liz!
The most important part of what I do is telling your love story on your special day. I don’t just show up to your ceremony. I want to know the you beyond the camera so the photos I deliver are keepsakes that’ll be with you for decades. Your love story is the best inspiration for photos that last for decades.
Tips and Tricks
In my last blog post I talked with you about the importance of printed items. Today I want to focus solely on wedding albums and why you should invest in one. Wedding albums used to be something that almost every married couple had because oftentimes that was how their photos were delivered. However nowadays photographers like myself deliver digital images to our clients. While I absolutely love the versatility of digital prints (hello updating our social media profile pics!) I think having a wedding album to hold in your hands and cherish is something that can’t be replaced. So let’s dive into my top 3 reasons why you should invest in a wedding album!
While I do love being able to share photos digitally and on social media, I encourage you to look ahead 20 or more years into the future. Will you have Facebook? Will you even have the same email that I share the photos to? Maybe not. But you will be able to have a wedding album sitting on your coffee table or bookshelf that you turn to year after year. Having a printed wedding album is truly a family heirloom that will stand the test of time.
There are some things that just have a different feeling when you hold them in your hand. Just like I prefer a book over a Kindle, I prefer a wedding album over a Facebook album any day. With a wedding album you will be able to take it out and share it with your grandparents when they visit, open it up on your anniversary each year, and one day potentially flip through the pages with your own children! Being able to hold these memories in your hands for years to come is an experience that a digital product just can’t give you.
The wedding albums that I help my couples create are extremely high quality. From the binding on the book to the thickness of the pages, these albums are made to last! The companies that I work with to create wedding albums also offer multiple ways for you to personalize your album. One of the first options you’ll get to pick from is size. I offer 8×8, 10×10, and 12×12 albums. 10×10 albums are definitely my most popular! I even offer a 4×4 parent album that is an exclusive add on to any other album purchase.
There are several options for the material of the cover including leather and linen in multiple colors, the finish on the pages, and even engraving or embossing on the cover. The books are made to be family heirlooms and won’t turn yellow or crumble from being opened too many times.
The reason you hired me to photograph your wedding is the same reason that I think it’s worth it to invest in a wedding album; memories. Your wedding day to your spouse is a once in a lifetime occurrence that flies by too quickly. You hired a professional photographer to capture all of the moments and memories before they disappeared and that’s exactly what I do for my couples! Once you have those photos back, I truly think that you deserve to create a wedding album that tells the story of the day that you can look back on over and over again.
I help all of my couples create their wedding album layouts and pick their customizable options! If you are one of my couples who is planning a wedding, talk to me about adding on an album to your wedding package!
