You guys!! I cannot even believe that it’s been a year since this incredible wedding day. Megan and Chad’s wedding day was so incredibly beautiful and full of love. I can’t even put into words how amazing the entire day was. From walking in to a calm bride and groom excited for their day, to Chad crying during their first touch, to the most incredible getaway…this wedding was everything!! I took some time and asked Megan and Chad to give some advice to all my soonly and newly wed brides and grooms. Take a look below and be sure to congratulate them on their first year of wedded bliss in the comments below.

  • What has been your biggest struggle this year?
    • Finding time to be with one another. Megan and Chad have different work schedules right now so finding time has been a challenge for them.

I think it’s so important to spend time with your significant other or spouse. I know finding time can be difficult and I’m glad Megan and Chad are finding ways to make their different schedules come together for some quality time.

  • What is the best thing about being married to the love of your life?
    • Chad said that Megan makes an amazing dinner and Megan said getting to come home to Chad every night.

Finding those little moments is so special. Something as simple as dinner and quality time can mean so much to your loved one.

  • What has been the greatest blessing during your first year of marriage?
    • Being surrounded by family and friends who love, support and encourage us in our marriage.

I can personally attest to the love and support that their families show them. Their entire wedding day was filled with love and laughter. So much encouragement and words of wisdom were said and I’m sure have been said throughout their year of marriage. I have no doubt that Megan and Chad are being surrounded and uplifted in their marriage.

And finally…..What advice would you give to newlyweds?

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Reach out to an older married couple or find a good marriage counselor. Sometimes all you need is a third party to help facilitate a conversation.

This is incredible advice. Never be afraid to ask for help. It is not a sign of weakness to ask for help especially from older couples who have years of wisdom to share and will happily do so.

Take a few minutes to soak in the wisdom and check out their photos below. Congratulations on your first year of marriage Mr. and Mrs. Joines! May you have many more years of happiness and love together!
