Another beautiful wedding coming at you today and I can’t wait to share these! I met with Britney and Molly earlier this year and just loved these two together. You can instantly tell how much they love each other and how excited they were to finally be married. They planned for an early spring wedding on April 28th and hoped that Molly wouldn’t get deployed before the big day. Luck was on their side because not only did their wedding go off without a hitch but those pesky April showers held off for their big day.
I entered the bridal suite that morning to find Britney, Molly and their wedding party all getting ready. Molly was finishing up her hair and makeup before heading over to her suite to get ready. Britney did a first look with her dad out on the bridal suite porch after her mom helped her into her dress. Britney and Molly chose to forgo a first look and do a traditional wedding which was stunning. Seeing Molly’s face light up as Britney walked down the aisle was something to see. The two exchanged the sweetest vows and just like that Mrs. and Mrs. Walters was announced. Britney’s most anticipated part of the day was “saying our vows. I was excited to hear Molly’s and I couldn’t wait to let everyone know just how much we love each other!” Molly loved watching Britney walk down the aisle and realizing she was her forever.
We spent some time together photographing their families, their wedding party and then it was time for the two of them to take a little time together to soak in the day and have their couple portraits taken. Couple portraits are one of my favorite parts of the day. It’s a great time to look into your partner’s eyes, take some time and realize that you just married the love of your life. These two were naturals. Their love was so clear and sweet and I couldn’t be happier with how the photos came out.
After that, it was party time! Britney and Molly loved celebrating with their friends and family. Molly surprised everyone with a special dance with her mom that everyone loved! During the reception they got to slow down and take in the day because it really did fly by.
I asked the two of them what their favorite wedding details were and here’s what they had to say. Molly – the cake was really beautiful. I like the “The Walters” sign my Matron of Honor made. Britney picked out both of those things! Britney – I really like the centerpieces and cork name card holders. We got the ideas on Pinterest and enlisted the help of our family and friends to gather the bottles and corks leading up to the wedding. It became kind of a fun collecting project and made me feel like we had a little of our friends/family right there in the decorations.
Now that they’re a married couple, they can officially offer advice to future newlyweds. When asked what they wish they would have known or what they’d like to tell couples planning their wedding they said: Britney – Hire a day-of wedding coordinator so you can enjoy the whole day without worrying about having to field calls/questions from vendors or family trying to set things up. The less you have to do in the lead up to the wedding, the more you can actually enjoy what’s happening on your wedding day! Molly – Remember its your day. Do what you want for your wedding, you only do this once! They both recommend starting early. They felt like time really crept up on them in the last couple of months so they recommend putting together a checklist so you don’t forget anything.
Well that about sums up all the words I can think of to describe such an amazing day. Now I think it’s time to let the photos do the talking. Check out their photos below and be sure to congratulate them in the comments below.
