I’m so incredibly excited for today’s blog post. Let’s see if I can get through writing it without crying. I have known Rebecca and Jonny for a long time and we planned their big day for over a year. Rebecca and Jonny booked me at the Clarksville Brides Wedding Showcase in 2017 and getting to know them even more than I already did has been such a blessing. Rebecca is one of the sweetest woman I have ever known and the fact that she has found Jonny makes me so incredibly happy.
Rebecca and Jonny got married in 2017 on May 12 before they were stationed in Missouri. This beautiful wedding you are about to see was their stunning vow renewal and celebration of their first year of marriage. Watching them say their vows to one another again was a beautiful experience and I will admit I started crying when Rebecca teared up saying her vows. I asked Rebecca and Jonny to think back on their big day and share some of their favorite moments. Check out their gorgeous wedding and thoughts on their big day below.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Lee!
- What was your most anticipated part of the day?
- Rebecca- getting everything ready before all the guests showed up.
Jonny- Rebecca walking down the isle.
- Did anything unexpected happen? What was the outcome?
- Rebecca- I did not expect to cry since we’ve been married for a year
Jonny- We both cried (happiness)
- What ended up being your favorite part of the day?
- Rebecca- seeing all of our favorite people dressed up just to celebrate us
Jonny- photo sessions
- What advice would you give to future couples for their wedding?
- Rebecca- don’t sweat the small stuff, because the likelyhood that it’s something people won’t really even notice
Jonny- all the bickering about the little stuff is all worth it on the wedding day
- Were you nervous? How did you squash the nerves?
- Rebecca- I didn’t feel nervous until I was about to walk down the isle because I felt a rush of emotions and butterflies in my stomach
Jonny- I was never nervous because I knew I made the right choice
- What was the biggest surprise on your wedding day?
- Rebecca- how many people cried along with me in the ceremony
Jonny- weather
- What was your wedding inspiration
- Our venue was the inspiration. It was so beautiful we felt we didn’t need a lot of decorations to make it perfect because it was already so beautiful, so we planned stuff to compliment
- Tell me about some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them!
- Rebecca- flowers were so hard to choose because there are so many types but I seen some YouTube videos on bouquets and just fell in love! I didn’t get the original colors that I wanted but they turned out more perfect then I imagined
Jonny- table centerpiece, looking through Pinterest ideas we combined them and ran with the idea
- Any advice for those couples planning their wedding now?
- Rebecca- know what you want and don’t settle for less, but also don’t have such high expectations that everything will be perfect that if something goes wrong you are devistated. It is your day and people are there to celebrate your love, not to nitpick what you planned
Jonny- she’s right even when she’s wrong, she’s right
- How did you feel at the end of the day?
- Rebecca- overwhelming love from my husband and everybody that loves and cares for us
Jonny- everything was worth it
- What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
- Rebecca- just getting to live life together and waking up next to my best friend
Jonny- adventures and travels
