I am IN LOVE with November weddings!!! The weather is absolutely perfect at that time of year. Today on the blog is the Uldrich Wedding!! I am so excited about this one. Kelly and Brandon actually won my New Years Giveaway for a free engagement session last year and then booked me for their wedding. These two are straight from a magazine. Their style is so perfect and they are so crazy about one another.
I typically photograph weddings in churches that are out in the country or around nature but the Downtown Presbyterian Church is smack in the middle of the city. When Kelly told me this is where they planned to get married I got so excited!! I actually graduated college at this church and was dying to photograph a wedding there. It is an Egyptian revival church and if you can overlook and edit for the incredibly red carpets and bright colors, it is absolutely gorgeous. There are so many amazing colors and textures inside the church and outside you have the gorgeous city life. I had so much fun experimenting and playing during their wedding and can’t get over how much I love every single image from their big day.
One of my favorite moments was when Kelly passed down the family handkerchief to the next family member to get married. It is a tradition that the brides carry this specific handkerchief on their big day and Kelly handed it down. There were smiles and there were tears. It was a truly beautiful moment to see history passed down like that.
Be sure to say congratulations in the comments below.
