I’m a little backed up on blogging weddings but am so excited to be blogging the Vowell wedding today. I absolutely loved their big day and fell in love with the gorgeous warmth of fall colors all over again. I arrived in Cadiz, KY the morning of their wedding and found the bride finishing up her hair and makeup in the church recreation room. To say she looked radiant would be an understatement. She was so excited. I quickly photographed all of her details and we started to get her dressed. I absolutely love her gown. The full lace sleeves are just gorgeous.
The little chapel was simply decorated allowing for the beauty of the room to really shine through. The stained glass windows were definitely my favorite part of this little chapel. As the ceremony started, I turned around to see John Thomas wiping a tear from his face….yay!! There is nothing more beautiful than a man who gets emotional when he sees his bride. You could definitely tell how excited her was to be marrying her.
The rest of the day flew by with wedding party and couple photos outside the church as the sun sank below the horizon. We then drove to Rebecca’s aunt’s house for the reception where everyone was already gathered eager for dinner and the festivities to begin. Their reception was very laid back with some people inside chatting and others hanging out by the fire.
