Today marks the end of my 2017 Best of blog series. It’s definitely bittersweet. I love getting to share my favorite photo from each wedding I photographed this year. I wish I had the time to do an extensive best of wedding series as I have so many amazing images that I LOVE from each wedding but I could get carried away and then this blog would be WAY too long. So I sat down and selected one photo from each wedding that is my absolute favorite and I’m sharing that here today. These are in no particular order so let’s get started.
First up is the Carroll wedding. Rachel and Braden has a gorgeous fall wedding in late September at Cedars of Lebanon State Park. The weather was absolutely gorgeous that day and it was filled with fun and laughter. Because the two were already married and this wedding day was their chance to celebrate with friends and family, it was stress free and a perfect way to not only celebrate their first year as a married couple but to celebrate their love. The photo below is from their bubble exit and I love this partial silhouette photo of such a special moment. Next up is a special wedding day to me. Mariah and Jeremy are friends of mine and their wedding day was so much fun! It actually poured raining during their reception but that didn’t stop the celebration. Their intimate Canoe the Red River campground wedding was perfect for these two as it had so much of their free spirited personalities to it. The photo below is a simple portrait of their gorgeous family. To view more from the Cox wedding check out their wedding day blog here: The Cox Wedding at Red River Canoe.
This is one of my favorite photos of the entire year! The Joines wedding was so much fun. They had family and friends travel from all over to be there on their special day and the love that surrounded them was so incredible!! This photo is Megan and Chad’s first kiss as husband and wife and I love that it’s just them as they celebrate their first moment as husband and wife. Taylor and Steven’s May wedding was filled with rain but that didn’t stop these two lovebirds from smiling and enjoying their big day with family and friends. Their outdoor wedding was moved into the cutest little chapel at The Hermitage and it was perfect! I loved getting to know these two throughout our time together and love all of the gorgeous photos taken during their wedding day. It was so hard to choose a favorite but this one was right before they headed into their reception and the rain stopped for a few moments, just long enough for us to get a couple photos of these two on their special day. Traci and Rodney also had a May wedding at Freedom Point. There intimate ceremony took place on the lower patio right beside the water and it was gorgeous! Rodney actually made the arbor that they got married in front of and their relationship story is absolutely perfect! I can’t get enough of these two and the photos we took on their big day. Trey and Hailey’s big day was hands down my favorite wedding day this year. I can’t even describe with words how absolutely stunning this day was! From the colors, to the mansion they got ready in, to Trey’s reaction seeing his bride…everything was absolute perfection! I chose a photo where you can not only see Hailey with her dad but you can also see Trey’s face as she comes down the aisle. I love it when men cry as they see their bride and Trey’s reaction was perfect! To see more from the Scott wedding check out their wedding day blog here: The Scott Wedding at Taylor-Huff Farm.
Dianna and Wayne had a sweet lakeside ceremony with only their closest friends and family to witness their marriage. There reception took place on the patio of their lakeside home and to celebrate their nuptials they released lanterns across the lake after sunset. How absolutely perfect does that sound!? Kelly and Brandon had an early November wedding but you wouldn’t be able to tell by the weather. It was a perfectly beautiful, balmy November Saturday for their downtown Nashville wedding. Most of my weddings take place somewhere where greenery and forestry can be found so when I found out that their wedding was going to take place in downtown Nashville, I was so excited! I love a challenge and trying new things so having a city/industrial wedding sounded so fun to me. The area around the Downtown Presbyterian Church was gorgeous with lots of geometric shapes, tall building and crossing lines. I was like a kid in a candy store that day and love every image I got to take. The one I included here is so fun. It was taken in a little park not far from the church and I love this mural and how it really made the couple pop. Rebecca and John Thomas had me falling in love with gorgeous fall colors all over again. The bright reds and oranges of their special day brought the spirit of fall to life. I love the photo I have included from their wedding because it’s so fun and carefree. The movement of Rebecca’s hair and dress and the look of pure fun and joy on their faces is everything to me! Their Kentucky wedding was so much fun and filled with tons of love and laughter. Last but not least, Genna and Robert chose to have their wedding at their home and spent quite a bit of time adding a side patio to their home just for their big day. I absolutely loved their wedding! Their land has an amazing dirt pit that is just stunning for photos. We actually took their engagement photos and wedding photos there because it makes their photos seem like they were taken in an exotic location somewhere out West with red clay and rolling hills. It was absolutely beautiful! To view more from their big day check out their wedding day blog here: The Wright Wedding in Erin, TN.
