Harrison’s First Year of Life!

It’s so hard to believe that this baby bump here is now a year old! I can’t believe it and I know that Jessica and Robert can’t believe that they are now the parents of a one year old. It seems like this year has flown. To celebrate the newest addition to their family and his first year of life I’ve put together some of my favorites from their Grow with Me package with me.

I’ve known Robert since high school and everyone knew that he and Jessica were going to get married. I never saw them together that I can remember but I remember the way he talked about her and I am so excited to see them with their baby boy. They amazing parents and while Harrison hates me taking his photo (curse of a child who doesn’t want to be tied down), he is the most adorable little boy. I am really excited to share their entire Grow with Me package photos below!

Robert and Jessica really wanted to take photos in Downtown Clarksville at night. We started their session off during sunset and took some really fun, flowy dress photos in a couple dresses from my maternity collection. I love how these turned out especially the ones we took downtown. We headed over towards the Roxy and when I got home and was editing, I couldn’t help but add in the expected date to the movie theater sign. I think it’s so fun!

The day has arrived! Harrison Cory was born on July 23rd in Clarksville, TN. I visited the hospital a couple days later for their Fresh 48 session. This is a great session to do as it helps you remembers your child’s smallest, newest features since they’ll change so quickly after their first few days of life. I absolutely loved their Fresh 48 session and can’t get over how smitten Robert is with his little boy!

Newborn sessions are always hard. There is a lot of work that goes into posing a tiny newborn and keeping them safe. For this reason I love doing lifestyle newborn sessions. These are just you and your baby bonding and I love capturing these moments!

It was so chilly for Harrison’s 3 month session! Since he was born in July, it was also November when he was 3 months old and the nip of winter was definitely evident. We had to keep baby Harrison wrapped up to keep him warm but even snuggled up I still love how these came out! Rotary Park is one of my favorite spots to photograph families since there is such a variety of gorgeous scenery and it was a great spot for natural light the day of his session. Check out that adorable smiling face at the end!

Harrison just got more adorable the older he got. It was still a little cold during his 6 month session so we took some outdoor photos of the family and then headed inside for a few sweet shots of baby Harrison’s growing features. These were taken in the Rayburn’s temporary house while they built their new home and I love the change of not only Harrison but also the growth and change of their lives throughout his first year.

9 months old and finally at home in their new custom built house! I am in LOVE with their home and the beautiful greenery and light they have in their backyard. When we were deciding where to do their 9 month session, I knew immediately that we should do it at their home because it would add a deeper sentimental nature to their photos. Harrison was a ball of giggles this day and I love the connection that he and Robert have. Both of them are clearly smitten with their little boy and it isn’t hard to see why…he’s ADORABLE!

I have to admit that it’s always a little bittersweet when I get ready to do a one year session. It’s always a little sad because I know that our time for our pre-packaged sessions has come to a close but it’s sweet because I’ve gotten to see this little human grow up and change. I love Harrison’s one year session! His face during the cake smash is my favorite. One year sessions are my favorite part of a Grow with Me package because you get to really see their little personalities come to life. They will run around and giggle and really get into their cake smash.

I’ll be posting Harrison’s Grow with Me album design soon so be sure to check back for that and if you have a little one on the way be sure to contact me to set up your session now!

Your future family heirlooms await.
