This little cutie is a YEAR OLD! Can you believe it!? It might not look like it in these photos but Harrison HATES to have his photo professionally taken. He just does not like to be contained! He likes to be free and run wild which is so true to the little boy that he is. I am so happy with how his first year session came out but am also sad that I don’t get to photograph this adorable little face anymore. 🙁
All first year sessions have the same basic structure. I start with the family session so I can get those out of the way and your little one is happy and most importantly CLEAN for those. We did some of just Harrison and let me tell you…it took a lot to get him to laugh. Luckily I can play Mickey Mouse Playhouse on my phone which is his FAVORITE! That’s usually how I get him to smile. We also took a couple with each parent and then did a family shot. Family photos are usually my favorite because you get one with each session of your Grow with Me package and it’s great to see not only how your child has grown over the years but also how you as parents have grown. Check out his family photos below and be sure to keep reading for his cake smash and then his bath session photos!
Who doesn’t love cake!?! I know I sure do and Harrison really seemed to love his cake too! It’s always interesting to see different kids during their cake smash sessions. Some kids will barely touch their cake and you have to get in there to help them get messy. Harrison was not one of those kids. Once he got a taste of it he went to town. I especially love the last image is his face. Every time I see it all I can think is…NOM!
Bath sessions! What better way to clean off your sticky, messy kid after a cake smash than with a bath! These are always so cute! Splashing is always my favorite and since most kids love baths and water this is always a fun part of any first year session. I typically do bath sessions in your own tub as it’s easier to fill and empty. I do however also offer outdoor bath sessions in a giant metal tub if that is something you’d like to do with your child. Check out the rest of Harrison’s first year photos and be sure to check back in a couple weeks for a photo review of his first year of life!
