WOW WOW WOW!! May was insane you guys! I second shot a total of 5 weddings last month. That was one every single weekend and June is not going to slow down either. As I sit here writing this, trying to think of goals for the month, my brain is going a million miles an hour. I have so much to edit and classes to work on and designing to do. Wedding season is definitely in full force and while I’m already tired, I wouldn’t slow down or trade one day for anything in the world. There is nothing like the feeling of love and gratitude that comes from doing what I love every weekend.
So let’s get started….
June’s Goals
- Cull, edit, and write blogs for all of the weddings I’ve done so far and will do this month.
- Complete June’s content for the KJ Business Journey and work on homework.
- Complete KJ Lighting and Location course
- Write blogs for June.
- Set up social media for June.
- Work out at least 3 days a week.
That’s it for this month and yes it’s going to be a lot but May got away from me and I didn’t do near as much as I was planning on getting done last month.
Here’s the Plan for Business
- Cull, edit, and write blogs
- So this one definitely slipped through the cracks last month. I did cull each wedding and have edited one of them but that means I have 2 weddings from April and 4 weddings from May plus the wedding I just shot last weekend to edit and write blogs for.
- It’s a lot and I definitely should have kept up better than I did last month but that’s okay. That’s what these blogs are for. Setting goals and realizing what can and cannot be accomplished. It’s also testing my commitment which I need to work on.
- Complete June KJ Business Journey
- I am finally caught up on the business journey content and it feels good to no longer be behind. So I’m making it a goal to get each month’s new content done within the first week or two of the month so that I can use the rest of the month implementing the content.
- I also have some homework from previous months that I need to get caught up on implementing into my business.
- Complete KJ Lighting and Location course
- Over Memorial Day weekend, Katelyn James had an incredible sale on her other courses so of course, I had to buy them. I love her classes and always learn so much so I’m excited to dive into this one this month as well. I’ll be completing this one during the last two weeks of the month so that I can do the Business Journey at the beginning of the month.
- Set up June social media
- I slacked a little towards the end of May on social media. It’s hard to think of 30-31 days worth of valuable social media posts so when I ran out of valuable posts, I just stopped. I need to work on creating more posts so that I can get something out every day.
- I’m also working on posting on Instastories more often so expect to see my face or something else over there more often!
Here’s the Plan for Personal
- Work out at least 3 days a week.
- This one is going to be easy since I’ve already been consistently working out. This month I just have to make sure that I don’t get too bogged down and don’t have time to work out. I completed month 1 of PWR at Home and I’m on to month 2. I’m already feeling stronger. I don’t know about seeing any physical changes yet but I can now squat 55 lbs and bench press 50 so I’m feeling pretty strong. I can’t wait to complete month 2 and see what that brings.
Well, that’s it for this month. I feel like it’s a lot but I know I can do it. My biggest blessing this month will be my brain dump. I have a notebook that every night I brain dump everything I think I need to get done the next day and then I prioritize the list. I then block out time on my calendar to get it all done the next day. After I complete a task, it gets marked off the list. I LOVE marking things off lists. It makes me feel accomplished. Here’s what this first week of June looks like.
